Rachelle is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Program for Obesity, Weight, and Eating Research at Yale School of Medicine. Rachelle received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Simon Fraser University, following completion of her pre-doctoral internship at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton. Rachelle's dissertation, funded by a Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship, focused on elucidating the role of self-compassion in adolescent psychological distress, body dissatisfaction, and eating pathology.

Wynndee Lee is the Director of Community Development for the City of Ottawa, Kansas, a position she has held since 2002. She oversees the planning, zoning, development, and codes administration for the city, as well as many community projects including park and playground improvements, economic development, and grants for sidewalks and trails. With the city manager she co-leads a mindfulness practice group at City Hall in which city department directors and other employees participate during the lunch hour.

Ekta was a teen carer to her mother who had Young Onset Alzheimer’s in her 40s. Ekta lives at-risk for the same condition. From a suicide attempt at 18, Ekta has gone on to find hope through practicing Vipassana meditation daily for the last two years.

She has worked as a social worker and counsellor with Family Service Toronto’s Seniors and Caregivers Support Services team for the last two years. Erin has been a peer support counsellor and group facilitator with the Distress Centres of Greater Toronto’s Survivor Support Program for the past six years. Roja has presented at the North American Society of Adlerian Psychology (NASAP): Mindfulness & Cultural Diversities (2018); Mindfulness and its effect on Trauma Clients (2019). Certifications include Mindfulness Awareness Stabilization Training and Trauma-Informed Mindfulness through Mindfulness Everyday.

Elli Weisbaum, MES, PhD. (can.) is a Toronto based mindfulness practitioner and teacher, who attended her first retreat at the age of ten. She holds a Master's degree focused on bringing mindfulness into education. In 2016 she began pursuing a PhD. at the University of Toronto.
