Emmanuel College – Master’s Degree in Spiritual Care & Psychotherapy

Emmanuel College is a multi-religious theological school, rooted in the United Church of Canada. We offer several theological Master’s degrees, our most popular professional Master’s degree is the Master of Pastoral Studies with a Certificate in Spiritual Care & Psychotherapy. This is a recognized training program by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Students are rooted in one of three faith traditions; Christianity, Islam & Buddhism, by taking four foundational courses in one of these streams then learn together with students of many different faith backgrounds the theories and practices of psychotherapy through a spiritual lens. Graduates of this program work in spiritual care & counselling professions in prisons, hospitals, universities, community centres, communities of faith, clinical or private practices.
