Sandy Dias Andrade has been in the field of mental health and psychotherapy for twenty years. She is certified in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). She is trained in a number of therapeutic modalities, ranging from cognitive, somatic, attachment, trauma resolution and mindfulness and presence approaches that informs her one on one therapeutic work with clients.
She developed and teaches a university accredited training in Presence Oriented Psychotherapy (Integrating Mindfulness, Compassion and Wisdom) for mental health professionals. She is also a visiting faculty in university courses in Buddhist Psychotherapy in India as well as trains mental health professionals, students and community workers in Listening with Embodied Presence. She designed and co-developed the training for volunteers at Connecting NGO, a suicide prevention agency in Pune-India, in Mindfulness Based Active Listening where is she is now a trustee and mentor.
